What I’m doing these days…

January 21st

I have been missing out on updating this page and I apologize! The main reason has really just been that not much is new besides my continued love of shopping and wrangling the kids. I am getting so close to completing my last two classes online before clinical begin for my nursing program and I am so ready! Sadly, with COVID-19, however, clinical placement is almost non-existent. The entire nursing pipeline is being clogged as new nurses cannot enter the field without clinics, but the hospitals are overwhelmed on a daily basis with critical patients, so they aren’t able to take on the responsibility, or risk of having students around. I am remaining patient and keeping busy, which let’s be real, isn’t hard to do with four little ones and online classes still taking place! I promise to give more updates and not leave you all hanging for so long!

July 27th

In the words of my 4 year old upon seeing my growing belly, “Oof! Baby sister is getting big!”. I’ve got just about 6 weeks to-go and I am so ready for baby girl to arrive! We have been spending most days hanging around the house, trying to avoid crowded places and the heat. Doing small home projects, like painting baby girl’s nursery, or organizing the hallway closet for what feels like the 500 is keeping me plenty busy though. I absolutely love crafting and seeing the boys strong, individual personalities expressed through art is quite entertaining!

I recently took the HESI, and I survived it better than I had expected, which has me getting very excited to start my applications for nursing schools around the valley! Keeping my fingers crossed I can get into a Master’s program immediately! If you are looking for any tips on how to study for the HESI, or just looking to know what to expect on the exam, let me know! I only started “studying” a few days before and it really wasn’t bad at all!

I’m currently working on increasing my postings on my blog and instagram, so look out world! I’ll get the hang of this social media life one of these days!
